Nicholas Horsfield (1917-2005): monochrome charcoal study, Dieppe Le Pollet 7th Aug '73, attributed by label verso, image 28 x 23 cm, overall 42 x 37 cm.
Horsfield served as president of the Liverpool Academy from 1960 to 1965 and joined the Bluecoat Society's leadership in 1960. Horsfield took a break from teaching life drawing at the College in 1977 to devote more time to painting.
