Brian Ballard RSA (Irish, b. 1943): oil on board, March Lough, dated 1972, artists label verso, image 19 x 15cm, overall 33 x 30cm.
Ballard is known for Still Life, landscapes and coastal scenes in bold colours with strong brush strokes. He studied at Belfast and Liverpool Colleges of Art and is now a member of the Royal Ulster Academy. His works are held in numerous public and private collections including those of the Ulster Museum, Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Crawford Municipal Gallery, Cork.
